…a few recently snippets on developments in handset technology:

• Gizmodo featured the launch of the much-anticipated Neo1973, along with a very detailed technical spec…still waitin’ for mine though Sean
• Microsoft recently patented the use of touchpads for mobile handset UIs. A great idea and one I’m glad I had in 2005 when I was designing broadband handsets (see picture below!) for Wanadoo and France Telecom!!
• An ID magazine concept design for a screenless mobile for the blind, incorporating a touch surface keypad for message entry
• Unboxing O2’s lovely Cocoon handset
