Will advertisers pay real money for simple words instead of flash and banners? Possibly, if it’s easy enough to do so. Google certainly thinks so. Check out the 25-10-2001 entry on this blog.

Uprizer’s website now has some real information about their offering, KARMA, but not yet anything to download. Technically, it looks very similar to MIT’s Chord project. A press release seems to suggest it will be used to deliver multi-megabyte files to mobile phones for a monthly subscription fee. They presumably have patents pending on their “innovative, proprietary” algorithms.
Other companies offering similar software/services include AllCast, Radiance, Kontiki, Blue Falcon, OpenCola, ChainCast, PeerGenius, Emikolo, Yaga, WebEver, VTrails and Red Swoosh.
