Any time tracking ideas for a two-party, separate-machines, hard-to-coordinate household?
My wife and I have the need to track our time independently and yet work with it in the aggregate. Does anyone have something to suggest–possibly something web-based? The primary constraints for us are quick start-up, shallow learning curve, and data export to various formats.
Back in the day, I used a pad and every fifteen minutes made a hash mark next to what I’d done. It seemed to work pretty well, so far as billing was concerned. What’s your solution?

Achievo
Here is what I use:

Backpack
How about something like 37 Signals Backpack? Minimal use is free, other plans cost up to $19 a month for lots of storage and reminders.
You can send reminders to email or mobile phones. There are to-do lists, notes, image/photo/file space, etc.

AirSet
What about Airset? If you're using Outlook, then it will synchronize your schedules using categories and different rules. It's free too, at least for now.
Track-It
We've used this for a couple of years, and are happy with it:

It may be too over-the-top for your needs though...
Task Tracking?
If you're talking about Task Tracking and related stuff, you can check out dotProject. I'm a core member and happen to know that it's in use in numberous contracting companies, a few lawyers' offices, and lots of purely internal groups.
