Apple has put some evil Digital Restrictions Meanness into the iPod touch. Apple stores will sell you a cable that has a tiny DRM module for fifty bucks.


Bastards.


So a cable or video dock that works with a Photo iPod or 5G iPod won't work with with the iPhone/iPod touch.


I got a Phillips SJM3152 remote video dock for $35 or so from Woot that works. Original retail was $180.
Phillips presumably paid Apple the required DRM fee to allow them to use video
