Really good and useful code. I have one problem: it works OK in Firefox but in IE 6 it 'sometimes' gives the following errors: 'An error occurred inside a plug-in contained on this page' and 'The plug-in did not intialize properly' and not play the mp3. This is a random occurrence and cannot work out a pattern, hence a reason for these errors. Any ideas? Thanks.

    The correct version of the browser with the problem is IE 7 and NOT 6.

      @a007:

      Yeah, each rev of Internet Explorer seems to break the code in fabulous new ways. As noted at the start of this article, I wrote a newer version that solves some of the problems, but as noted in that article, the script still needs to be split into two files to prevent Internet Explorer's "click to activate" roadblock.

      I'll keep everyone posted on my progress. The simplest solution for now is to use Del.icio.us Play Tagger (http://del.icio.us/help/playtagger). It doesn't provide a transport bar, volume control, or pop-up window, but it also doesn't require special links.
