I enjoyed the article, I would be curious of your thoughts on Digidesign Strike.


I am a songwriter mainly, I play a little guitar and this whole technogy and terminology gives me a headache. I'm looking for preset drum beats that I can choose from to play the guitar as I am writing songs and recording. I was very disappointed in Reason 3.0, I thought it was very limited.


I have a Mac pro Quad running Pro Tools LE and was told that strike would work well for me. It's very compatible with pro Tools and it has want I'm looking for as far as preset beats and it is easy to use.

    Strike is amazing. It was not released at the time I wrote this article and also, it only works in Pro Tools - so it wouldn't have been a great suggestion for non-Pro Tools users- but it's truly an awesome plug-in that I could not more highly reccommend.

    Be sure to watch the tutorial videos at Digidesign.com - they help alot...
