Amen to that! I couldn't agree with you more on your post! Of course mine is piddly compared to some of the horror stories I've read here. My experience had to do with a seller who posted a very deceptive link. In part it was my fault too, because I went by blind faith, in believing that the link was what it described and I hastily placed a last minute bid on the item. The heartbreak came after the auction was closed and when I scrolled down to read the rest of the description and found that what the seller had auctioned off, had already been used and the container only had half of the contents in it. There is a catch too, in that the seller's feedback policy is written in such a way that you get feedback only after you've given the seller yours, after you've received the item through the mail. Ebay keeps tearing down my "me" webpage, because I've expressed my feelings on the sordid matter. They've done diddly to correct the seller, as the seller is still selling. The seller got very ugly when I called her on it. There have been other unhappy customers as well. I realize that there are some super sellers at ebay, but the bad ones are the ones who give ebay a bad rap I've created my own webpage, telling of my experience. Is there something wrong in me doing this? I've gone ahead an asked ebay to close my account, because why should I keep buying things from ebay, when they can't give the underdog any support? Thanx to the originator of this blog for creating this outlet!

Is it just me or are eBay seller fees getting higher and higher? I just recently listed an item with a starting bid of $50 and got charged over $5 just to list it. To make it even better, they will also charge an end of auction fee.

Is it just me or do they keep on raising their fees to take advantage of their market "monopoly" ?

I find this rediculous, so I have decided to try something myself. I recently opened an auction/classifieds website that hopefully someday could give eBay some competition.
