I can't print from Java applications on my Linux system. This is with CUPS 1.2.8 and a Sun Java 6 JVM on Ubuntu Feisty. I have tried all the on-line tips and work arounds that I can find from CUPS itself to bug reports in Launchpad, but I still can't get it to work.
