| Preston repeats the claim that XSLT cannot manipulate data in bitmasks. Both I and Ken Holman have independently given code to do this using basic arithmetic operations: it is not rocket science. My code is under the Grokdoc comments pages, for example: has Preston bothered to look at then? This article is just an uncritical rewrite of the ODF/Groklaw material. The fact that this claim resurfaces so regularly is emblematic of a larger problem that the ODF/Groklaw material has: even when something is disproved it keeps on being recyced. | ||

Unfortunately it doesn't solve the document round-tripping problems which plague the translator approach at the fundamental conceptual level.
