I'm a classical guitarist intereted in doing some home recording. I liked the sounds on the R-09 with the external mics AKG C 1000s.
WHat type of Mackie Preamp was used? Was it the Mackie Onyx Satellite? And how do you plug in the preamp to the R-09?

It seems that this set up is ideal for ease of setting up at different locations, experimenting with locations, mic placements, etc..

Finally, I'm struggling between the R-09 and the Zoom H4 for recording classical guitar. I'm more of a player than a recording guy and ease of use is what I'm after. Of course still wanting a good sound . .

Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for all of these great reviews . . .

Regards,

Schuller
