first you had to get php.x.x.x.tar.gz or any other compressed version for unix (linux)(go to www.php.net) then unpack it to a dir say php.4.4.4 (think it is in /home/me/php.4.4.4/ ) then in the terminal type cd /home/me/php.4.4.4 then type ./configure Hope you got it |
