Getting the Video out of Your New iPod--for Cheap!
Subject:   I've tried it all!

I used an apple cable with my 60 gig ipod. I reversed all of the colors as suggested. I hooked it up through the vcr, the television as stand-alone, all with the same results. The picture looked like a blocked channel on cable tv and there was no sound. I've heard you could watch videos on your tv through the ipod, but can't find a solution. I can't see why a third party cable would work any better than an apple monster cable. Help me someone! David

That looks like GND is not connected.

If you have an electric tester check the third contact against ground (see my post below).

If you use an Apple cable I don't see why you would have to reverse the colors though.

    JCS.

Are you sure your county system is right? Are you using PAL in an NTSC country or vice-versa?

Yes, I set my ipod for ntsc, and followed all of the directions to a T.
