The introduction starts with the idea that LDAP is good some places and "completely inappropriate for yet another batch of problems". I'd love to see more on the problems that LDAP is ill suited toward solving.

    Systems that won't tolerate any inconsistency, applications that require drilling down to find unpredicted relationships between entries, or databases that are changed more than they are queried. Consider the inappropriateness of using a directory for bank account management, data warehousing, or real time stock pricing, respectively.

    Otherwise, I could likely make an argument.
