I don't know why either, but sure am glad. I'm trying to develop test code for a HTTPS client, developing a HTTPS server from scratch or installing and configuring a full blown HTTPS server are both overkill. But because everyone assumes you'd only ever use some kind of commercial server, noone has any example code of how to create a simple HTTPS server.
