So if I'm running through a router and I still want to run my website off of my computer, how do I bypass the router so that others can see my website?

You have to enable "port forwarding" on your router, and forward any traffic coming in from port 80 (html traffic) to an internal port on your LAN that is pointed at the internal ip your server is running on.
