| My Series 2 TiVo just got a service update (7.2.1, Nov 2005) including the new "overlap protection" feature, and I can no longer get the 30-second skip to work. Is it gone? Just moved? I want my 30-second skip back! | ||

I was updated to 7.2.2 last week. I lost the 30-sec hack, but replaced it with no problem. Tonight, it was gone. I have no messages from Tivo, so I don't think I got another service upgrade. Anyway, I had to reapply the hack at least 6 or 7 times before it came back. Very frustrating.

The first five times I tried it, it didn't work, but now it does. Three "chings" for the 30-second skip!
