I have had a lot of difficulty in uploading the photos to my imac G5. (OS X 10.3.9). Iphoto hangs virtually every time when I try to import in there. Using Finder to transfer the images to the hard disk is slightly more reliable but again seems to often hang, even when only transferring a few images. Transferring images to my IBM Thinkpad is OK. I confess that I would not have bought the camera if I'd have known I'd have these problems but clearly others' cameras work fine with iphoto?

  I have a different camera (SONY DSCH1) and I am having the same problem with iPhoto 06 on a intel iMac, it hangs importing .mov files. I even tried different card readers. My old G4 didn't have any problems using the same card readers. Not sure what else to try! Just wondering if you are still having the same problem.
