You mention a couple of times that the size of the photos if printed out would be several feet in length. Isn't that at 72 dpi though? Most print applications need between 200 and 360 dpi for quality. How big a print would we be talking about at those resolutions?

    Indeed, the several feet in size figure I give is based on printing at 72 dpi. But, my point is that when you are looking at full 100% pixels on screen, you are looking at the same detail that you would be on a physical print that is measured in feet. And you are looking at that detail at a viewing distance of 18-36 inches.

    At 240dpi--a good print resolution for many inkjet printers--you can print a 12x18" print from the images made by the 5D.

    Of course, printing and resolution is tradoff game--even when talking about "quality" prints. You can go quite a bit larger than a 12x18 print off a 5D image and get an amazing print. After all, when your viewer is further away from the image (which they will be for a big image), the lower the dpi you need to print at.
