At least 1.4.2_09 on Solaris: thread collisions will force a tweak, then you get into the buffer munches . . .

A server based on the code the comes with the article is in production on a Linux machine. We haven't tried Solaris, though.

neither does it work on Windows XP running JDK 1.5 update 6. any tweak to get the code work on XP will be greatly appreciated.
