Hello I liked this article too much. I have implemented a server load balancing scheme by redirecting client requests to participating servers, but i don't get the need of transparency for the client. I redirect client to other web server who grants him/her desired response. Client first contacts my load balancer gets redirectd to a server on minimum response time metric and gets response from it. I don't think if he gets response from other server directly then SLb any problem would be, though some design considerations would be taken for e-com sites. I want to work with u.
