I concur with earlier posts ... this example, when done exactly as described in the notes does not work ... nor do any of the solutions. What a joke!

  At what point did it fail for you? Did you try downloading and running the zipped up source code and database content? If that worked, did you compare it with your own source code to see what's different?

  I got to the instructions pertaining to figure 51 ... in fact i created the edit.rhtml file ... but when I tried to edit ice water i got the error message "RuntimeError in Recipe#edit" etc ... newbie that i am, i was subsequently lost. No i didn't download the zipped files and database content ... it only said "if you like ..." not you really should ... etc.
