I'm sorry to say that the quote WAS NOT in the original article. Do YOU remember it? I certainly never would have written ANY of my posts had I seen it the first time. Perhaps I am mistaken, but I am relatively certain that I am not.
In any case Tom, your posts are neither constructive, nor interesting. I've been following JBoss for a while now, but it sounds like you haven't. I've read things I find distasteful from the JBoss group on their threads, and in articles like this (pre-edit). I find your replies to my posts neither productive nor particularly insightful.
Your bitter and acidic tone, not to mention substanceless accusations (you haven't offered a shred of evidence that demonstrate the fallacy of ANY of my claims, whereas I've provided links where there are direct quotes which I think show quite decisively that I'm not making this up) make this exchange pointless. In any case, I'm done arguing with you. I think that you're arguing with me simply to be contrary, and it doesn't matter what I say, I won't be able to convince you otherwise.
How about providing one single shred of evidence that it is the case that JBoss has been rejected by Sun for J2EE certification. Please, request one single document from the JBoss group that says EXPLICITLY that they were rejected because they are open source. I don't think you will be able to get anything from them. If you can please post it on the web for the world to see, I certainly will apologize immediately and praise Marc and the group to the stars. If this _is_ true, it is truly despicable of Sun, and the world should know exactly what their commitment is to open source.
It's my opinion that Marc _is_ being dishonest and playing on altruistic sympathies of developers who spend too much of their time being brutalized at their jobs by the stupid and peurile anti-competitive, anti-interoperable, anti-everything-that-is-not-their-own-overpriced-product companies. I love JBoss, I use it everyday. But I don't let that cloud my vision for a second. It is not my "fantasy" that Fleury is politicking here. I'm calling it as I see it. If I don't happen to agree with you, it's not because I'm deluded. Your ignorant bullying will not get you far in life, and neither will trying to discredit me by piling on the adjectives.
