M-Audio makes some of the best audio gear for someone with a restricted budget. I've been investigating this in the last couple of weeks because I am building my own studio. M-Audio has been recommended by producers, engineers, musicians, techies and users of both computer platforms. That's not to say there are other options out there that are better or worse. But for my price range (which is similar to Gina's) it's a the best option I've found. What's getting me about the detractors of this article is that you are all ready to criticise the author's recommendations, saying that they are off-base. But you haven't provided any alternative solutions to support your claims. If you can get a 9 spending half the amount, why not tell us how?
