GREAT ARTICLE!

Hehe, I was actually just teasing a little. :) All that professional recording gear they use is really great! I noticed the drums sound very clean so I guess it is very optimized for recording purposes.
Once again I want to thank you for that article. It is really one of the best recording articles I've found on the web and I know that a lot of people found this article very useful! We all want more of these kinds of articles in the future since it is so extremely inspiring to read about stuff like this, especially with all those sound samples included with the article! Great stuff and very well written!

Regarding the drums: Don't let Bobo hear you saying his drums sound crappy! ;-) It's actually a very nice set - drums usually do end up sounding very different in the mix, after the levels of the different mics have been balanced and some amount of equalization, compression and reverb have (usually) been applied to individual drums and/or the whole kit. What we think of as the sound of drums based on pop recordings is more of a cinematic exaggeration of what real drums sound like.
