I can't get mysql to launch. The localhost.err file states: /usr/local/libexec/mysqld: Can't create/write to file '/usr/local/var/localhost.pid' (Errcode: 13) /usr/local/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/host.frm' (errno: 13) /usr/local/libexec/mysqld: Error on delete of '/usr/local/var/localhost.pid' (Errcode: 13) mysqld ended Thanks for the great series.
