The dns-sd command, although primary a development tool for those building Bonjour apps, allows you to browse for registered services. For example dns-sd -B _presence._tcp will return a list of the machines nearby which are running Bonjour iChat.

    Right! dns-sd appeared in Mac OS X 10.3
    From the terminal, man dns-sd gives a nice synopsis and some good examples of its use.
