Almost exactly the same hardware I chose for my MythTV project I kicked off in december. I will be quite interested in any troubleshooting and solutions when the software setup is examined in more detail, as while my setup pretty much works right now, I've got a couple of nagging issues I've not managed to resolve working on this as an on-and-off side project. Specificly, hardware accelerated mpeg decompression with the AMD64/X.org/nVidia combo, and 5.1 audio for DVDs (the later is not really Myth related).

    Carl,

    Unfortunately, there's a bug in the nVidia driver that prevents using all the hardware acceleration features on AMD64. I hope they fix the bug soon, too!
