Response to: dial up cheaper still..... but slow!

So who is offering $50 business DSL? Most of the major providers want to charge something more along the lines of $200/month. At which point this setup becomes a pretty serious expense.

you'd be better off going with an ISP offering highspeed dialup. basically the same as DSL but way cheaper. Try AOLCanada, Netscape Online or NetZero

SBC/Pacific Bell, which service the Bay Area has a business service with one static IP address for $50 per month, the same price they charge residential customers.

Costs will vary, depending on where your business is located. So, you will have to decide if the extra expense is worth the potential increase in customers.

And I personally wouldn't bother with an Internet Cafe that used dial-up. Why try to relax at a Cafe and have to deal with the aggrivation of multiple users sharing a single dial-up line? That business would probably be better off NOT providing the service.
