| I used REXX while developing an interface for an online help system I developed as a technical writer for a database management system software product at Amoco during the late 1980s. My only previous programming experience was using HyperTalk, as part of HyperCard on the Macintosh. I found REXX very easy to learn and used it for many small programming tasks. After leaving that project, I no longer had access to VM/CMS and could find no way to carry on with my REXX programming. But now that REXX is available as an open source project for Mac OS X, I might tinker with it once again. | ||
