I bought my first edition back in 1996 when I was an intern at a local bank. I had been frustrated at being told that daemons were 'evil spirits' after asking one of the full time sys admins. I literally read the entire book within a few months and I think it had a profound impact on my appreciation of the IT landscape. The writing style is superb! |
