Hi Derrick

Is it a neccessity to use high speed SD cards to capture most qaulity video? What amount of Mb per sec. does the normal SD card read/write? thanks.

As predicted....a firmware update is now available for Ex-p505 owners at the Casio Exilim website. It went smoothly for me and at 6.02MB in size...I would expect noticeable results.

    Peace,

    TS out

I don't think you need a high speed card to use the video because the MPEG-4 compression is so good. So if you have a standard SD card already, by all means use it with the Casio.

Personally, I like the high speed cards because I do notice a difference with overall performance and transfer speeds to the computer. But that's more a preference than a requirement.
