I was unable to determine this from the website; it was hinted at but not really spelled out.

Whoops, quite right.
del.icio.us is -not- opensource. It has an API you're free to play with.
de.lirio.us runs on Rubric which is under the artistic, open/free software. I've released my templates as well so anyone who wants to improve the service is free to do so.

Ahhhhh whoops!
del.ico.us is -not- open source.
de.lirio.us, mine, is. As I've mentioned, it runs on Rubric, a Perl program and Perl module, licensed under the artistic license. Same as Perl itself. I've released my templates which differentiate the site, it's a website afterall, as well so anyone who wants to improve the site can work on both.

del.icio.us runs software that has not been released to the public.
de.lirio.us is not its own product, it is running Rubric, which is free software.
