My first Sound Design Gig was at Frank's place in Venice California. Frank, LMO Webber and myself had a ball creating all kinds of great sounds for TV, film and Theme Park Rides. Where else can you bring your dog to work to star in a recording session? Simpty the Wonder Dog (It was really SMPTE but the folks at the vet couldn't understand the name so I sort of rounded it out) was a hit on the Science Diet commercial, even if she was only doing voice overs! Frank has so very unique ideas and is still a great friend to this day. |
