i had the same problem. see recent article in macfixit os x section. i looking at the console, i saw i was missing a file called: /etc/httpd/httpd.conf there was a file called: /etc/httpd/httpd.conf.bak i went to the /etc/httpd/ directory and duplicated the backup file as: %sudo cp httpd.conf.bak httpd.conf then it worked. who knew.

I am sorry, but that is not enough for me to make it work! do they have to have sufficient priviledges or anything like that?
