Tired of Inkjet Snapshots? The Canon CP-220 to the Rescue
Subject:   intermittent use?

I read somewhere (I think it was here) that ink-jet printers do not like to be left idle for days at a time, as the ink jets get clogged if ink does not flow regularly.

Since my printer needs only require intermittent use, I see this as a big down-side to ink jets. Are dye-sub printers free of this down-side? Do you find other similar down-sides?

Thanks for a good run-down.

I've had the same "head clogging" problem with inkjets, which means a few more minutes spent unclogging them before I can make my simple snapshot.

The dye subs use colored "ribbons" instead that are much less prone to clogging. Another plus!
