| for 2 days Google Desktop Search was great - until somehow it got corrupted. Am I the only one in the world this happed to? I tried to uninstall it but am left with a file "GoogleDesktopNetwork1.dll" wich I cannot remove. When trying to reinstall Google Dektop Search I get message that 'this version is already installed'! Can someone please help me out? | ||

My laptop will pop up a message saying incorrect Google desktop DLL loaded. My monitor screen will constantly go blank and I have to reboot. Did this happen on yours as well? I uninstalled the google desktop and am hoping this might solve the problem.

Major problems! I cannot even successfully boot up my laptop now... Google Desktop Search worked for me until I installed my Verizon AirCard, including Venturi. Then Google Desktop Search indicated that it was incompatible with Venturi and things went down hill from there. It looks like a complete system rebuild will be required. Not a good day. -

Exact same thing happened to me. I tried to uninstall Google Desktop and now my laptop is unusable. Uninstalling Venturi2 first worked -- the first time around. Got impatient and uninstalled Google Desktop before Venturi and ... BOOM! Can't boot the laptop. Anyone have a workaround??? -

I had my Desktop and my friend accidentally downloaded and when i tried to uninstall it my comp. CRASHED!!! then when i try to boot up, I can only see the desktop backround! none of the programs, none of the start bar and i cant figure out how to format HELP ME TOO!!!! -

hey its very simple to recover ur comp. :)Do not Format it.
u r able to see the desktop background rite??? Do as i say....
press (Ctrl-Alt-Del)and u will get the taskmanager.
Then go to file - new task(run) and locate the Google Desktop Search Setup on your system. Run it.. and install it and then reboot..
Ur system will start. :) -

yeah i had the same problem and i couldnt find it in the taskmanager so i had to go to google and type in ''google desktop search'' and had to re-download it and then i rebooted and it worked =)
