Subsequent to writing this article it has come to my attention that much of my code is very closely based on code in the open source package edtFTPnet which was written by Bruce Blackshaw.


It was not my conscious intention to use Mr. Blackshaw's code, and I apologize to him -- and to you, the reader -- for providing material I thought was original, but clearly was directly influenced, nearly line for line in parts, by his work.
