I have used both Pasta and JDepend. I like Pasta because it gives you nice GUI interface to see the dependencies among packages. However, they are *NO* longer free version to download. I don't know if I have old copy of download because I got a new computer. So I guess I'm stuck with JDedend.

I got a new info after digging PAST website.

The following is from PASTA website

    Free Edition

A free edition of the Package Structure Analysis Tool is no longer available for download. This edition is fully functional, except that the functionality to refactor the source has been disabled. A full version is part of the OptimalJ suite.

However, PASTA has been superceed by "OptimalAdvisor"

There is a free version of OptimalAdvisor. I have not tried it yet but I will try the latest version as soon as my registration goes through.
