| Another reason there's no need for commented code: it is already in the source control system. If a programmer really thinks it's worth saving, a before/after snapshot with appropriate description ought make the old code easy enough to find if it's needed later. You could even leave behind a comment in the current branch like replaces algorithm used in version XX.XX.XX. | ||
