I am from Brazil,I don´t write well English, necessary of help: after executing the command /mnt/cdrom/install/linux/runInstaller it initiates the execution of the installation, but it stops in the following archive : README...does not execute more nothing, it is in 0 %...necessary of its aid... please |

Setting the environment variable LD_ASSUME_KERNEL to 2.4.1 should fix it. The following link was very helpful during my installs of Oracle on Linux:
