MacJanitor simply puts a front end on these tasks, allowing you to press a button for 'Daily', 'Weekly' or 'Monthly'. However, under Mac OS 10.2 (Jaguar) you can acheive exactly the same by typing the following into the terminal: sudo periodic daily (or - instead of 'daily' - 'weekly', or 'monthly'); or run them all at once by typing: sudo periodic daily weekly monthly but the tutorial allows all this to occur automatically. You don't really need MacJanitior. - Dave Everitt |
