SMART doesn't show up in Disk Utility on my Panther install - but them, I'm running plain Panther. Isn't SMART part of the Panther Server install?

  I've got three drives attached to my desktop Mac, two of them are less than a year old. (Two installed internally and one via Firewire.) I don't see any reference to SMART for any of the three in my Disk Utility window, even when I select the drive and not a partition.

  S.M.A.R.T. analysis is now part of the Mac OS X "client" version too.
  
  However, it requires your hard drive to support it and, therefore, to be relatively new. Would you hard drive be too old or not support S.M.A.R.T., no information will appear at the bottom of the Disk Utility window.
