I'm glad that someone has pulled out a few good rules out of the arguments out there. Very nice summary. What do you think is the right way to present an error condition to a user when it occured in a 3rd party app. I mean, realistically the user cannot do anything, but maybe they could capture the output and send it back to me? Any best practices for error reporting? Thanks, - Joshua

I have seen several applications that before crashing, pop a feedback form, that allows the end user to send feedback with automated report to the development team. I would prefer doing it that way.
