I know what you're saying, but it wasn't quite that bad. I felt he was simply making the point that being a zealot without a foundatation makes anyone an ass. If you say that "scripting languages just don't scale" without ever having done research on it yourself makes you a zealot. Zealots start cults. Cults create fanatics. And fanatics blow up buildings. I personally can't stand to use the Java languages--not for lack of using it, but because I've used it and found that it doesn't really fit my needs and the way I like to code. And yes, I know what a design pattern is. ;-) I am just not willing to go about and tell everyone how much better it is and why they should be using it. Use the right damn tool for the job is what I say.

Momentarily, however, you will see a zealot come along and bash me for saying that I can't stand Java. When that person arrives, you'll know what I'm talking about. ;-) Just to add a little more fuel to the fire:

JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS JAVA SUCKS.

Let the fun begin! :D
