| Just use ColdFusion MX. All the benefits of a superior server side scripting language that runs as pure Java at runtime. Scales up and out extremely easily too. | ||

Too bad previous ColdFusion code doesn't migrate 100% of the time and that there have been too many installation and database connectivity problems. I've wasted too much time on trying to get it properly configured rather than being productive. -

Last I checked ColdFusion was not an open platform (correct me if I'm wrong). I think that the pattern here is that people want an open system for development. This doesn't make CF bad technology. It will just never gain a significant market share since it is not open. I believe CF is still pretty expensive too. Was too costly for me at least last time I checked.
