Hi, Duncan, I have created a thread about Panther based on this article at Ars Technica. I hope you don't mind. In the usual Ars style, the debate has quickly descended into a chaos mainly due to Wintel users, but there are some interesting points. Ars has been a longtime Wintel geek site, but in a recent OS poll, Mac users appear to outnumber Windows (all version combined) users!

  Don't mind at all. Though you are right. It's really a Wintel thread. One point: A lot of people over there are referring to this article as a "Review". It's not. It's just a personal top 10/11 list. :)

  it'll be interesting what sort of "debate" happens over at Ars. It's not exactly the most tolerant site on the net. Certainly not for us mac users.
  
  I used to read Ars Technica quite a bit, until it became apparent that "Caesar" Ken Fisher is a racist. He typically comes off like your typical smug armchair intellectual, but once he gets fired up, he's got quite a mouth on him. I've seen him get pretty worked up and go off on people on IRC over basically nothing.
  
  
  
  It's too bad, too, since the other guys on the site like Hannibal are actually pretty smart.
