Verisign wants traffic for nonexistent domains to go to their site? Give it to them. Just put 1x1 images on your webpages that point to nonexistent domains. e.g. img src="http://www.xkrjgnv0oed.com/" height=1 width=1 1x1 is preferable. If enough people do this, verisign will have plenty of traffic. You could even construct a "broken ribbon" protest logo with 1x1 broken images and 1x1 real images using fancy html with tables.

  Give me a break. Verisgn has more bandwidth than you could possibly imagine. They aren't going to care, even about billions upon billions of hits. In fact, I bet they'd just love that, since it would allow them to track users more, since they not only get info when they mistype a domain, but even while they are browsing normal sites, that just happen to have a 1x1 image.
