I doubt the getUrl remote url call will work in a connection challenged environment! Did you mean something else or am I mistaken?

  In a complex application you will trap errors and redirect according to what type of error is encountered. If the user can't connect to the Flash Remoting application on the server, you can redirect to a generic HTML page, or you can simply handle the error in the Flash environment. Obviously an error of "no web connection" cannot be redirected to another page.
