I followed the directions above and was able to install the ODBC drivers through Server Logistic's Complete MySQL package. When I ran "odbctest" at the terminal, I had success.

I 've just had exactly then same experience as aaanderson who posted above...I've has success in getting the odbctest utility working, but receive the same "ODBC is not installed on this system" message. Yes, I've installed the ODBC drivers that came with the Server Logistics package and haven't, so far as I'm aware, installed any of Apple's - not sure from the reply if Apple drivers are also necessary? Where do I get them if so (can't find anything by Googling) . FWIW, I'm definitely using the latest Office updates - can anyone help with this please? -

I am having the exact same issue. After much trouble trying to get the ODBC drivers to work, I finally was able to use 'odbctest' to confirm my connection was working... only Excel X kept giving me an error about ODBC Not Installed... I reinstalled MS Query twice (to use a windows approach) and that didn't help either.
any clue?
I'm running 10.3.3 with Dev Tools, mySQL 4.18 and the latest MyODBC drivers.

Hope that helps.
