Hello,
Can anyone out there give me specific directions on how to sync my Clie NX60 with Virtual PC 6.0 (running OS 10.2)? There are obviously many palm programs that cannot be run on Mac platform (i.e. anything with .exe file) and I have been trying for months to sync my Clie w/ VPC.
Of note, I'm using PalmDesktop 4.0 on Virtual PC and have missing sync on my OS X desktop. Just can't seem to get it to work. Please help..... Thanks.

  • Sync Palm with Virtual PC for the Mac

Everyone out there seems to be making this WAY too complicated. Syncing your Palm device with PC programs through Virtual PC on the Mac (when using OS 10.2.6) is incredibly simple.

Just set up the sync process as you normally would on the (Virtual) PC. Then, when you are ready to sync, DISABLE HotSync on the Mac... when the PC/Palm sync is complete, ENABLE the HotSync on the Mac - then you can sync data to/from the PC side to the Mac side using the Palm as the conduit, too.

I spent hours (days?) looking for all kinds of tweaks and solutions and it finally occurred to me to try just shutting off the HotSync capability on the Mac and hitting the Sync button on the cradle. The system kept searching for someplace to sync the Palm with and found the (Virtual) PC HotSync.

    Works every time.
